Awww

Don't be so discouraged. Learning the hard way what not to do can be just as useful as getting lucky and taking the right approach right off. Granted, your figure needs a neck and shoulders rather badly so it looks a bit less like a disembodied head floating above a set of disembodied tits, but bits and pieces of this show great promise, especially the eyes. The facial proportions are impressively fine- the chin could be more symmetrical the jawline could be softened, but usually facial proportions are what everyone ruins their pieces over and you show no signs of the usual mistakes. Keep trying and don't give up- figure drawing can be extremely satisfying.

thanks for the constructive criticsism, like they say, sometimes bad art is better than no art :D

scouting

Nice color palette. Make sure all your works are marked for public viewing- you can't be scouted unless at least four of them can show up in the art portal. Also, you might find http://art101.newgrounds.com/news/post/314936 useful- it's a tutorial on photographing artwork.

OscarMayerWinnr responds:

Haha, thanks, just now realized that pretty much all my pictures were not public and I could have sworn they were. Oh well fixed now and hopefully I will be scouted soon.

Clearly...

Clearly he should have tried kissing her. There's nothing quite like the libido to get a girl out of bed.

exninja123 responds:

nice suggestion...
but i was trying to show a deeper meaning in this story :/

Looks like Conan O'Brien to me

Nice (bad) pun. Good pixel art, would be more impressive with a background. I love the huge pinky sticking out from his cup- so dainty.

NinjuhBoyBLU responds:

I was tempted to do his set but I didn't wanna hide a big old head behind a desk.
But I'll keep that in mind
Thanks for the feedback!

Wow, cool

What medium(s)?

Shrewm responds:

acrylic ink, duralar, and photoshop.

Neat but...

This is a cool idea and potentially a great resource, but I'd recommend uploading a larger version (if you have one) if you really want people to use it- it'll allow people to use it for larger/more detailed products.

Lovely textures going on here and a decent composition. One question- what's with the dark line arching away from the man? my brain says fishing rod or paper crease, but what did you intend?

Zolen responds:

Hm, I did not make it larger, admittedly doing on a whim so its kind of a last second plan that made me decide to leave it blank.

Well done

Also, spot the invisible dicks.

darkenedlover666 responds:

That's the exact picture that I used for reference with this! :D

Bacon

I'm sorry, but I can't help but see bacon in the swirling mass of meat and fatty streaks- ahem, clouds. Otherwise fairly well done though. The composition would be more dynamic if the black hole weren't so centered, but I love how you warped the buildings.

coughing-dog responds:

wow, you just made me hungry

fine but

in the interest of punctuation you might want another apostrophe after the missing G in messin, for the sake of consistency (ain't has one).

sorry, i'm trying to reform my grammar nazi habits, but it's difficult.

TheFabs responds:

No can do

decent

Decent, but the lips are set too high (too close to the nose) and are quite thin. That said, your shading is wonderfully done, and that eyebrow is superb. When I cover up the figure's lips and chin with my finger, all the troublesome anatomy problems magically disappear.

Sawke responds:

Hahaha oops. Well believe it or not this was my first value drawing. I have another one. But it's quite large. I'd like you to look at it when i upload it tomorrow.
